BORN IN BUSAN, SOUTH KOREA and grew up in a beachside apartment, spending most of her free time on the beach or on the balcony of their apartment when it wasn't beach weather. she nearly wept for weeks when her parents told her they were moving to the states. her dad being a higher up in a company that had branches in california and new york, her hopes set on californaia. they settled into new york the next month before sulli turned unhappily thirteen.
STARTED SEWING WHEN SHE WAS EIGHT after her grandmother on her dad's side bought her a sewing machine for her birthday. sulli went on a sewing frenzy, starting with simple things like stitching patches of cloth together to make a "blanket" then started stitching up her torn stuffed animals, working her way to making pillows, then her own plushies. when she was twelve she made her first dress and things just kept on from there. after so long, it finally hit her that maybe there was more to this than she just liked to play with the sewing machine from time to time and started looking into fashion and design careers. after taking a high school drama class with pitiful costumes, she started working on the costume designs with her teacher, that's when she figured out what she wanted to do. costume designs for plays, movies, anything and anywhere that needed costumes.
MOVED TO CALIFORNIA ALONE not long after graduating high school. once she was accepted to UCI, sulli was already making plans for her move to california even though her parents weren't to keen on the idea. instead of moving into a dorm or a campus apartment, she moved into her own three bedroom apartment for no reason other than she liked the apartment and had hope for finding roommates. for the most part of her first year of college, one of those bedrooms has been turned into her sewing studio/work room and gigantic walk-in closet.
honestly...things will get added here constantly.
